Dresscode - How to dress in the casino
Thinking about visiting a casino and wanting to look like you really belong there? One of the most important things to think about is the dresscode? In movies, players are almost always dressed in a suit, or the players take at least a blazer.
The truth is fortunately elsewhere, and overdressing can be rather counterproductive. Just dress as comfortably as you can. T-shirts and jeans are absolutely standard clothing at any casino, and you definitely do not have to be ashamed to go as if you were going for a drink at the bar.
Of course, you cannot go wrong with a suit, a jacket, or just anything decent, but it's no obligation or even a habit. The casino is a place to have fun and there is no reason to dress so much that it is uncomfortable.
However, it is necessary to respect other players, so even if a suit is not needed, you will not be allowed into the playroom, for example, just in a swimsuit and flip flops.
One exception may be exposed shoulders and legs
The only thing that could theoretically be a problem is men's shorts or a tank top. Almost certainly, this is not a problem, especially in the summer months, but in the more luxurious casinos, long trousers, covered shoulders and sturdy boots may be required.
Taking jeans or other longer trousers, along with a shirt or a t-shirt, is absolutely safe when you first visit the casino and just ask how it is with the dress code in the given casino. Of course, it is also possible to make a call or write an email to make sure about the dresscode beforehand.
