Angry Birds - Review of Android a iOS Mobile Game
Angry Birds is a game, which could be really seen almost everywhere at the time when it was launched. Everyone was playing it for instance in public transport (if someone was not playing Candy Crush at the moment), despite the fact that the concept of the game is actually quite simple. The pigs stole the eggs from the birds and the birds decided to take revenge on them by suicidal attacks on the pigs´ bases.
And this is the whole concept – you are firing birds from a slingshot, while being able to adjust the angle and the power of the shots. Some birds have additional special powers, which can be used during their flight. There are several bird types available – some are able to fly longer distances, others are capable of destroying the walls of the bases and some can explode immediately after their landing. It takes therefore literally 5 seconds to grasp the concept and the gaming principles, which remain the same during the whole game.
But this is actually good news, because Angry Birds is a simple, linear and casual game, which does not require to think very long about the next move, so it is pure fun. The game is perfect for any trips or journeys, because it does not require quick reactions or a high precision. The Angry Birds App is suitable for children, who are going to have lots of fun with this casual game.
Free2play or Rather a Full Version?
The first Angry Birds game is truly a classic, which you just buy and play. More than 200 levels represent an adequate challenge and you can purchase this game just for a few bucks. The price-quality ratio is therefore more than sufficient.
In comparison to the first game, Angry Birds 2 took a Free2play approach, i.e. the basic version of the game is for free, but you have to pay for extras within the game. Unfortunately, this approach is not very good, because everything is quite expensive. Players, who want to play for free, have to wait until their available lives are recharged. It takes simply too much time and the prefect graphics are not able to compensate this disadvantage. You can actually spend in a blink of an eye more money than you would pay for the most expensive game in the full version. We therefore do not recommend Angry Birds 2, unless you are a true fan, who needs to play more than just a few minutes a day and who does not want to wait for the lives to reload.
Angry Birds: The Movie
The success of Angry Birds led to the production of the movie “Angry Birds: The Movie”, which came out in the year 2016. Even though movies inspired by mobile apps are not so successful, Angry Birds is an exception to the rule. Angry Birds: The movie is actually quite entertaining and it is definitely fun to watch it together with your kids or even alone.
The action scenes, the soundtrack and the characters are on a good level, even though it is not on par with the biggest blockbusters from Pixar. However, if you buy a DVD/Blue ray, you will make a good choice.
